The Yemen International Agency for Development implemented the Winter Bag Project for Children in Al-Suwayda Camp in the city of Marib, as part of its humanitarian interventions aimed at protecting children from the harsh winter conditions and alleviating their suffering amid the difficult living circumstances faced by displaced families.
The project aims to provide essential winter supplies for children, contributing to enhanced feelings of safety and warmth, and reducing health risks associated with low temperatures—particularly in camps suffering from fragile shelter conditions and limited resources.
The project was carried out in coordination and under the supervision of Shelter Clusters Yemen, and in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Al-Adeeb, Shelter Cluster Coordinator in Marib Governorate, and Mr. Arafat Al-Sabbari, Shelter Cluster Officer at the Executive Unit. This reflects the importance of integration and coordination among humanitarian actors to ensure assistance reaches those most in need in accordance with approved standards.
The Yemen International Agency for Development confirmed that the Winter Bag Project is part of a package of seasonal interventions designed to protect the most vulnerable groups, particularly children, contributing to improved living conditions and supporting their psychological and physical stability during the winter season.
This project reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to implementing humanitarian programs that respond to the urgent needs of displaced populations, uphold human dignity, and help mitigate the impacts of the escalating humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
