New Horizons for Humanitarian and Development Cooperation Between the Yemen International Agency for Development and Sela Development Foundation
As part of efforts to strengthen humanitarian and development partnerships and expand areas of joint cooperation, a delegation from the Yemen International Agency for Development visited Sela Development Foundation to explore new opportunities for collaboration in various humanitarian and development-related fields.
The delegation was headed by Dr. Abdulselam Al-Salami, Executive Director of the Yemen Office, Mr. Zakaria Shaalan, Executive Director of the Turkey Office, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Jouri, Director of Partnerships and Funding. They were received by Mr. Ali Ba Shomakh, Director of Sela Development Foundation.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed ways to strengthen their existing partnership and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in humanitarian and development programs and projects, aiming to meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups in society and enhance the effectiveness of field interventions.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of implementing sustainable and impactful projects that create tangible improvements in beneficiaries’ lives and contribute to social stability and development efforts in targeted areas.
Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between humanitarian institutions, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening knowledge and experience exchange to improve the efficiency of humanitarian work and achieve more sustainable outcomes.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthen cooperation and expand partnership areas in line with common humanitarian and development goals, ensuring better access to the most vulnerable communities.
