Outstanding Students Carry Out a Humanitarian Initiative at an Orphanage in Taiz

As part of its efforts to promote social responsibility and link academic excellence with humanitarian action, the Yemen International Agency for Development, through the Outstanding Students Care Project, implemented a distinguished humanitarian initiative in Taiz Governorate. The initiative involved a visit by project students to an orphanage in Taiz.

The initiative aimed to bring joy and happiness to the orphans, learn about their living conditions and needs, and foster a spirit of giving and social solidarity among the students. This activity reflects the humanitarian and educational role of the project in building well-rounded outstanding students who combine academic excellence with strong ethical and social values.

During the visit, the students expressed their happiness in participating in this initiative, emphasizing the importance of volunteer work and community service as an integral part of the journey of success and excellence. They highlighted the positive impact such activities have on strengthening humanitarian values and enhancing a sense of responsibility toward the most vulnerable groups.

The Yemen International Agency for Development affirmed that this initiative aligns with its vision that true excellence is not limited to academic achievement alone, but also includes active contribution to serving the community and supporting youth-led initiatives that create a tangible positive impact.

The Agency also noted that it places special emphasis on empowering proactive students and encouraging them to launch humanitarian and community initiatives that contribute to social cohesion and the development of a conscious generation equipped with knowledge, awareness, and humanitarian values.

The Agency continues to implement educational and community-based programs across several governorates as part of well-structured plans aimed at developing youth capacities, promoting a culture of volunteerism, and contributing to the building of a more cohesive and compassionate society.

Yemen International Agency for Development Launches Heating Distribution Project for Orphan in Marib

As part of its humanitarian and developmental efforts, the Yemen International Agency for Development, in partnership with Sila Foundation for Development, has launched a new project aimed at distributing heating devices to orphan homes in Marib city. This project comes at a critical time, as many orphan families are struggling to cope with the harsh winter cold, which intensifies their suffering.

The project targets providing heaters for more than 700 orphaned individuals and their families, ensuring a warm and safe living environment, thus helping improve the daily living conditions of orphaned children during the harsh winter months. The project reflects the agency’s commitment to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable groups in society.

The project launch event was attended by several prominent figures, including Dr. Khaled Al-Shajani, Deputy Director of the Executive Unit in the governorate, Mr. Bashamkha, representative of Sila Foundation, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Salami, Executive Director of Yemen International Agency for Development, and Dr. Jamal Qahtan, Deputy Director of the Agency and Director of Projects and Programs.

During his speech, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Salami emphasized the importance of such humanitarian interventions in alleviating the suffering of affected families, noting that the project reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to enhancing humanitarian and developmental responses in various regions of Yemen.
