Cash Incentives Project to Support Teachers in Displaced Communities in Marib

The Yemen International Agency for Development launched the Cash Incentives Project for Teachers in Displaced Communities for the 2025–2026 academic year, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the education sector and enhance the stability of educational staff in displacement-affected areas of Marib Governorate.

The project is implemented with funding from the Malaysian humanitarian organization MyCare, under the supervision of Insan Development and Relief Association – Malaysia, and in coordination with the Marib Office of Education and the Education Cluster, reflecting strong collaboration between local and international partners to support the education sector.

The project aims to provide cash incentives to teachers working in displaced communities, contributing to their livelihood stability and motivating them to continue delivering their educational mission despite the economic and humanitarian challenges faced by these communities.

The Yemen International Agency for Development emphasized that supporting teachers is a fundamental pillar for ensuring the continuity of education, reducing staff attrition, and fostering a stable learning environment that enables students to continue their education under improved conditions.

This project is part of a series of educational interventions implemented by the agency, aligned with its vision of education as a key pillar of sustainable development, and its commitment to building effective partnerships that serve communities and promote their development.

The initiative also reaffirms the Yemen International Agency for Development’s commitment to establishing strategic relationships with various institutions and expanding cooperation to achieve shared goals that contribute to community service and development.
