As part of efforts to enhance health services in Marib Governorate, the Yemen International Agency for Development, represented by the Executive Director of its office in Yemen, Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Salami, signed a contract with the Marib Health Office, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Abadi, to establish the Noura Al-Obeid Health Center for maternity and maternal care.

The project is funded by the Kuwaiti Tanmiah Charity Foundation, and the center will be built east of Marib Airport. The project aims to provide comprehensive health services to over 2,000 beneficiaries monthly, as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to improve maternal and child services in the region. The center aims to contribute to reducing maternal and child mortality rates, in addition to promoting health awareness among pregnant women in Marib.

This center is a significant step toward achieving the Yemen International Agency for Development’s goals of enhancing healthcare in affected areas, ensuring the improvement of health living standards for local communities.

The construction of Ahmed Salih Al-Ajiri (Al-Sadir) School in Taiz Governorate continues, generously funded by Al-Rahma World Association from Kuwait, under the supervision and implementation of Yemen International Agency for Development. This project is part of the agency’s efforts to improve the educational environment in affected areas by providing distinguished educational facilities.

The project, which is still in its early stages, is making continuous progress, with the school being built as a fully equipped educational center to serve the local children. The project is expected to contribute to accommodating more students and providing an improved educational environment that enhances education opportunities in the region.

Upon completion, the project will provide sustainable educational opportunities, positively impacting the education level in Taiz and surrounding areas.

As part of its efforts to support outstanding students and develop their abilities, the Yemen International Agency for Development organized a series of sports activities with the participation of 80 students as part of the Excellence Sponsorship Program, which is implemented in four Yemeni governorates.

The events included various sports games and physical activities aimed at enhancing team spirit, improving physical fitness, and providing students with the opportunity to discover their athletic talents within the program’s integrated activity plan.

As part of its humanitarian and developmental efforts, the Yemen International Agency for Development, in partnership with Sila Foundation for Development, has launched a new project aimed at distributing heating devices to orphan homes in Marib city. This project comes at a critical time, as many orphan families are struggling to cope with the harsh winter cold, which intensifies their suffering.

The project targets providing heaters for more than 700 orphaned individuals and their families, ensuring a warm and safe living environment, thus helping improve the daily living conditions of orphaned children during the harsh winter months. The project reflects the agency’s commitment to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable groups in society.

The project launch event was attended by several prominent figures, including Dr. Khaled Al-Shajani, Deputy Director of the Executive Unit in the governorate, Mr. Bashamkha, representative of Sila Foundation, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Salami, Executive Director of Yemen International Agency for Development, and Dr. Jamal Qahtan, Deputy Director of the Agency and Director of Projects and Programs.
