Yemen International Agency for Development Participates in Kaf Humanitarian Conference and Explores Regional Development Partnerships

As part of its efforts to strengthen its development presence and expand regional partnerships, the Executive Director of the Turkey Office of the Yemen International Agency for Development, Mr. Zakaria Shaalan, participated in the Kaf Humanitarian Conference, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the attendance of experts, decision-makers, and leaders in humanitarian and development work from various countries.

The conference discussed the future of humanitarian action and the non-profit sector, and ways to enhance their role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on transforming humanitarian work from temporary relief initiatives into sustainable development projects that create long-term impact within beneficiary communities.

Participants also reviewed a range of innovations and promising opportunities in the fields of zakat and endowments, digital transformation, and social investment, highlighting their importance as key tools for maximizing development impact and improving the efficiency and sustainability of charitable work.

On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Zakaria Shaalan visited Mr. Tareq Taha Al-Sheikh, Executive Director for Development Affairs at Kaf Association, where discussions were held on prospects for joint cooperation and strengthening partnerships to implement high-quality development projects targeting the most vulnerable groups and achieving sustainable impact.
