As part of its humanitarian efforts to strengthen food security and ease the living burdens of vulnerable families, the Yemen International Agency for Development implemented a food basket distribution project with the support of Hayr Yolu Foundation – Türkiye, reaching a number of families in need across targeted areas.
The project forms part of a series of humanitarian interventions carried out by the agency to support vulnerable families and help them secure their basic needs amid the economic and humanitarian challenges facing many regions of Yemen.
The distributed food baskets contained essential food items that help cover part of the beneficiaries’ daily needs, contributing to improved living conditions and reducing the pressures faced by families, particularly in light of rising living costs and declining sources of income.
The Yemen International Agency for Development emphasized that food security projects represent a key pillar of its humanitarian programs due to their direct impact on supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening their ability to cope with difficult circumstances.
The agency also expressed its appreciation for the support provided by Hayr Yolu Foundation – Türkiye, noting that effective humanitarian partnerships help expand relief interventions and reach a greater number of beneficiaries, creating a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of families in need.
