YIAD and Noor Al-Ibda Sign Partnership

The Yemen International Agency for Development signed today a partnership and cooperation agreement with Noor Al-Ibda’a Foundation for Development in Abyan Governorate, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and support joint development initiatives.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Noor Al-Ibda’a Foundation for Development by its Chairman, Mr. Osama Mohammed Sameeh, and on behalf of the Yemen International Agency for Development by its Executive Director, Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Sallami, in the presence of the Agency’s Director of Programs, Director of Partnerships and Fundraising, and a number of specialists from both sides.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in development and humanitarian fields, promote the exchange of expertise, and implement joint programs and projects that contribute to community service and the achievement of sustainable development, based on principles of transparency and institutional work.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this partnership in unifying efforts and expanding the scope of joint action, thereby strengthening development impact and supporting the achievement of the strategic objectives of both institutions.

The signing of this agreement comes within the Yemen International Agency for Development’s approach to building effective partnerships with national institutions, supporting the development process, and reinforcing the role of institutional work within the community.

Launch of the Professional Accreditation Center for Workers Heading to Saudi Arabia

The Professional Accreditation Center for workers seeking employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was officially launched in Marib Governorate. The center is implemented by the YAD Academy for Business Development, affiliated with the Yemen International Agency for Development, as part of efforts to regulate the labor market and enhance professional competencies in accordance with the standards approved by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in cooperation with Alem Al-Injaz Training and Education Company.

The center aims to conduct professional examinations and assessments for skilled workers seeking employment in Saudi Arabia, ensuring that applicants possess the required professional competencies. YAD Academy is recognized as an authorized and accredited center to conduct professional tests and evaluations under this program.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several official and academic leaders, including Jamal Al-Jaafari, Director General of Training and Rehabilitation in Marib Governorate; Abdulhalim Al-Hijri, Director General of Technical Education at Sana’a Municipality; and Abbas Abdulmagni, Director General of Social Affairs at Sana’a Municipality.

The event was also attended by Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Sallami, Director of the Yemen International Agency for Development; Dr. Mohammed Ali Omar, Director of YAD Academy for Business Development; and Mohammed Ali Al-Kenani, representative of Alem Al-Injaz Training and Education Company.

Participants emphasized the importance of the program in improving the quality of migrant labor, enhancing access to safe and legal employment opportunities, protecting workers’ rights, and raising professional efficiency in alignment with the requirements of the Saudi labor market.

This initiative comes as part of a series of development programs implemented by the Yemen International Agency for Development through its educational and training arms, supporting human development pathways and strengthening professional capacities in Yemen.

Strategic Diploma for Developing Talented Young Leaders

The Talented Care Program continues to implement the Strategic Planning Diploma for Young Leaders as part of its ongoing efforts to prepare young leaders and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to actively participate in managing community and development initiatives and projects.

The diploma is implemented in cooperation with the Strategic Thinking Group Association, within a partnership aimed at strengthening the leadership capacities of talented youth and preparing them to assume influential roles within their communities, in line with current developmental needs and challenges.

The program includes a series of specialized training sessions in strategic thinking, strategic planning, and decision-making, delivered by Professor Mohammed Hussein Abu Saleh, Professor of Strategic Planning. The sessions focus on building a practical and in-depth understanding of strategic leadership concepts and linking them to real-world applications in institutional and community work.

The diploma aims to develop participants’ abilities to analyze reality, anticipate the future, design effective strategic plans, and make sound decisions, contributing to the preparation of young leaders capable of managing projects efficiently and creating sustainable impact across various fields.

This program comes as part of a set of high-quality initiatives implemented by the Talented Care Program, which seeks to develop the academic and leadership capacities of talented students and enhance their readiness to engage in leadership and development pathways, contributing to the building of an aware generation equipped with planning tools and positive societal influence.

Winter Warmth Reaches Children in Al-Suwayda Camp in Marib

The Yemen International Agency for Development implemented the Winter Bag Project for Children in Al-Suwayda Camp in the city of Marib, as part of its humanitarian interventions aimed at protecting children from the harsh winter conditions and alleviating their suffering amid the difficult living circumstances faced by displaced families.

The project aims to provide essential winter supplies for children, contributing to enhanced feelings of safety and warmth, and reducing health risks associated with low temperatures—particularly in camps suffering from fragile shelter conditions and limited resources.

The project was carried out in coordination and under the supervision of Shelter Clusters Yemen, and in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Al-Adeeb, Shelter Cluster Coordinator in Marib Governorate, and Mr. Arafat Al-Sabbari, Shelter Cluster Officer at the Executive Unit. This reflects the importance of integration and coordination among humanitarian actors to ensure assistance reaches those most in need in accordance with approved standards.

The Yemen International Agency for Development confirmed that the Winter Bag Project is part of a package of seasonal interventions designed to protect the most vulnerable groups, particularly children, contributing to improved living conditions and supporting their psychological and physical stability during the winter season.

Cash Sponsorships Ease the Suffering of 150 Orphans in Yemen

The Yemen International Agency for Development implemented the Cash Sponsorship Project for Orphans, benefiting 150 orphans during the period from May to August 2025, with generous funding from Al-Firdaws Charity – France, as part of its humanitarian interventions aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups and alleviating the living burdens faced by orphaned families in Yemen.

The project aims to provide direct cash assistance to help meet the basic needs of orphans and their families, while enhancing their ability to cope with severe economic conditions amid the ongoing humanitarian challenges in the country.

The Yemen International Agency for Development affirmed that the Cash Sponsorship Project represents a vital intervention focused on improving the living standards of orphans and ensuring a degree of social and economic stability for their families, positively impacting the educational and psychological well-being of beneficiary children.

The implementation of this project aligns with the Agency’s vision to expand social protection programs and strengthen sustainable support mechanisms for vulnerable groups, in partnership with donors and humanitarian organizations, ensuring aid reaches its intended beneficiaries in accordance with transparent humanitarian standards.

Cash Incentives Project to Support Teachers in Displaced Communities in Marib

The Yemen International Agency for Development launched the Cash Incentives Project for Teachers in Displaced Communities for the 2025–2026 academic year, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the education sector and enhance the stability of educational staff in displacement-affected areas of Marib Governorate.

The project is implemented with funding from the Malaysian humanitarian organization MyCare, under the supervision of Insan Development and Relief Association – Malaysia, and in coordination with the Marib Office of Education and the Education Cluster, reflecting strong collaboration between local and international partners to support the education sector.

The project aims to provide cash incentives to teachers working in displaced communities, contributing to their livelihood stability and motivating them to continue delivering their educational mission despite the economic and humanitarian challenges faced by these communities.
